Metallic dragons are a class of dragon that appear in the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game. Unlike their chromatic cousins, metallic dragons are usually good-natured beings, though they still tend to keep to themselves and not involve themselves with lesser races, at least not on any regular basis. Though not villainous, even metallic breeds are known to be slaves to inherent draconic greed and spend much of their lives acquiring all manner of glorious treasures to decorate their lairs.
