Lamia
Lamia is a half snake half woman creature from greek mythology. She fell in love with Zeus and had children, but they were killed by Zeus' wife, Hera. now she roams at night to take her torment out on other children. In some stories, she originated as a Libyan queen or the daugther of Poseidon before being transformed by her rage. her eyes are cursed that they may never closed and be relieved of the sight of her dead children, though Zeus gave her the power to pluck her eyes out. she is often associated with the she-demon Lilith, a sucubus.
