King Vendrick was once a proud ruler of Drangleic on his way to becoming a true monarch (in much the same way as Lord Gwyn), until his soul was taken by Queen Nashandra, who was one of the shards of the soul Manus once possessed. He is found in a crypt, guarded by many knights and spirits, as well as one of his strongest knights, Velstadt.

Physical Powehouse[]
- King Vendrick will swing at the player throughout the whole fight, albeit slowly, but can remove a large sum of health and possibly even insta-kill the player when he does manage to land a blow.
Hex Attack[]
- Occasionally, if the player returns to the area after death, Vendrick will throw an offensive hex at the player: this will do much the same damage as any of his other attacks.

Slashing Weapons[]
- In order to combat Vendrick, the player should attack him with weaponry with the Bleed effect (i.e., anything imbued or coated with a substance which inflicts the Bleed condition), as it is the only way to inflict lasting damage upon him.

Giant Souls[]
- With Giant Souls in your inventory, it is possible to deal far more damage than without them. The maximum bonus damage for this is +5.
Blind Spot[]
- Vendrick will only swing at the player if he is in his field of vision, so avoiding frontal attacks allows him to be taken down with relative ease by an agile player.
