Guard Armor (Art)

The Guard Armor is a type of Emblem Heartless that appears as a boss in Kingdom Hearts. It is a large creature that resembles a suit of medieval knight's armor, though its arms and legs are not connected to the body and can move with a certain degree of independence. It is encountered by Sora, Donald and Goofy twice in Traverse Town and transforms into the Opposite Armor during the second encounter.

Abilities[]

The Guard Armor and Opposite Armor have different abilities and their limbs an move independently from their bodies, granting them a wide attack range and the ability to overwhelm careless players.

Guard Armor[]

  • Gauntlets - The Guard Armor's arms spin around with their claws extended, slashing enemies that come into contact with them and providing a shield for the torso.
  • Hammerlegs - The feet of the Guard Armor will stomp about and attempt to crush the player.
  • Armored Torso - The main body of the Guard Armor can perform a Tornado attack, spinning rapidly and dealing multiple hits to those around it. It may also perform a powerful body slam that can take off half the player's HP in a single blow.

Opposite Armor[]

Opposite Armor KH

During the second encounter, the Guard Armor will change shape after taking a certain amount of damage. Its torso will turn upside down and its head will sit in the "skirt" of the torso while its arms and legs swap places.

  • 4-Limb Strike - The Opposite Armor will launch all of its limbs at Sora and party in an attempt to smash them into the ground.
  • Back Flip - The Opposite Armor will flip backwards and attack with its gauntlets.
  • Hammerleg-Head - The Opposite Armor's head spins around the legs and attacks with its spikes.
  • Gauntlet-Torso - The gauntlets spin around the torso whilst homing in on Sora.
  • Torso Cannon - When its limbs have been destroyed, the Opposite Armor floats in the air and will fire energy blasts from the collar-end of its torso.
