The Farfarello is a Hunter-class B.O.W. that appears in Resident Evil Revelations. Named after one of the 13 devils from Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, the Farfarello was created by the bio-terrorist group Il Veltro, who administered the T-Abyss virus to standard Hunters.
Overview
The Farfarello differs from the standard Hunter in a number of ways. It appears similar to the Alpha model, but with darker skin and the addition of thin spines growing out of its back. The most outstanding difference, however, is its ability to camouflage itself. Its scales are capable of mimicking the surrounding environment, allowing the creature to essentially become invisible, making it an even deadlier foe than any of its predecessors.
A significant downside to the Farfarello is its heightened aggression. Being exposed to multiple viral strains has made these creatures utterly rabid and very difficult to control and transport.
Abilities
Like the Hunter "α", the Farfarello is a tough and agile creature with superb reflexes and durability, capable of dodging attacks and withstanding small arms fire. Its most remarkable trait, however, is its chameleon-like ability to blend in with its surroundings, becoming invisible. This allows the Farfarello to better close in on its prey without being detected, though it usually becomes visible again at the moment when it's about to strike.
