Amon is the seventh demon listed in the Ars Goetia. He is a Marquis of Hell who commands forty infernal legions and knows all things past and yet to come.
Amon is said to have the head of an owl or a wolf, the body and forelegs of a lion and the tail of a serpent or possibly a worm. Another depiction of this demon states that he appears as a man with the head of a raven. He is capable of breathing fire and his purpose is to settle controversies between friends and enemies.
The name "Amon" is derived from Amun, king of the Egyptian gods.
